2. Orders and Acceptance

4. Payment Terms

Payment must be made using approved payment methods offered by SATI Shipping Containers.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • The remaining balance must be paid before dispatch or upon agreed payment terms.
  • Ownership of the goods remains with SATI Shipping Containers until full payment has been received.

  • Used shipping containers may show cosmetic wear, dents, surface rust, repairs, or signs of previous use.
  • Product photographs are provided for illustrative purposes and may not represent the exact unit supplied.
  • Dimensions and specifications are approximate unless otherwise confirmed.

Customers are encouraged to request current photographs or arrange an inspection before purchasing.

6. Container Grades

We supply containers in various grades, including:

  • One-Trip Containers
  • Cargo Worthy (CW) Containers
  • Wind and Watertight (WWT) Containers
  • As-Is Containers (where applicable)

The agreed container grade will be confirmed before delivery.

7. Delivery

SATI Shipping Containers offers delivery throughout South Africa.

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • Safe access for delivery vehicles.
  • A suitable unloading location.
  • A level foundation for placement.
  • Compliance with local regulations or permits where required.

If delivery cannot be completed due to customer-related issues, additional delivery or return charges may apply.

Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays caused by weather, transport disruptions, supplier issues, or other events beyond our control do not constitute a breach of contract.

8. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers should inspect the container immediately upon delivery.

Any concerns regarding:

  • Incorrect products.
  • Major transport damage.
  • Missing agreed features.

Failure to report issues promptly may affect available remedies.

9. Ownership and Risk

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery or collection, as applicable.

10. Returns and Refunds

Due to the nature of shipping containers:

  • Custom-modified containers are generally non-returnable.
  • Used containers sold in accordance with their described condition are not returnable solely because of cosmetic wear.
  • Approved returns remain subject to inspection and our published Returns Policy.

11. Warranty

Where applicable, certain products may include a limited written warranty.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Used containers are sold according to their stated condition.
  • Warranty coverage does not extend to normal wear and tear, misuse, unauthorized modifications, accidental damage, corrosion resulting from environmental exposure after delivery, or improper installation.

12. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Ensure safe delivery access.
  • Inspect products promptly after delivery.

  • Maintain containers appropriately after purchase.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, SATI Shipping Containers shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits.
  • Delays beyond our reasonable control.
  • Damage resulting from misuse or improper installation after delivery.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
